Read on Gila Bend is a public/private partnership of agencies and community stakeholders who are committed to a collaborative approach to improving language and literacy outcomes for our community’s children from birth to age 8. Our vision is for all children in Gila Bend to experience success when they enter kindergarten and be reading at or above grade level by third grade.

Our focus is on identifying gaps and needs in the community; implementing interventions to increase caregiver engagement around literacy through participation in monthly literacy events and activities; instilling the importance of early literacy with parents and caregivers; increasing awareness of Read On Gila Bend through active participation of members in local literacy events.
