Yuma County Early Childhood Fiscal Map (2022-2025)

Read On Yuma and the Greater Yuma Economic Development Corporation, with support from Read On Arizona, developed a local early childhood fiscal map to enable policymakers, community leaders, and partners to better understand how funding supports young children and families across Yuma County.

Building on Arizona’s statewide fiscal mapping framework, the Yuma County Early Childhood Fiscal Map reflects federal, state, local, and philanthropic investments in early care, education, and early literacy across Fiscal Years 2022 through 2025. Applying a child- and family-centered lens, it highlights who (level of government) invests how much (appropriated/obligated amount of money) in what (specific age groups, types of services, programs) across key systems such as school districts, Head Start and Early Head Start, child care, and health services.

This interactive tool is intended to strengthen the capacity for more strategic public financing and data-informed decision making by helping identify gaps, overlaps, and opportunities to better align resources. By facilitating a shared understanding of the funding landscape, the fiscal map supports stronger coordination, more sustainable investments, and improved access to high-quality early learning opportunities that advance school readiness and early literacy outcomes for children and families in Yuma County.
